Consequence on The Breakfast Club

Cons drops gives a really good insight into the rap game vs the music business & certain G.O.O.D. Music situations.

Something From Nothing: The Art of Rap (Trailer)

This looks incredible! I want to see this more than I want to see anything else.

Slick Rick - Need Some Bad

Slick Rick dropped a great song with production from none other than DJ Premier. It’s set to find a place on the soundtrack for the Jonah Hill film, The Sitter. The ruler is back!

Pusha T - What Dreams Are Made Of (Video)

Vizzy sets off 2012 correctly telling everybody to “sign out of facebook and make some real friends” and to “get off of…twitter and set some real trends”. The end of the world is not here. Get to work!

Jon Connor - 5 Lessons

Jon Connor, one of the most underrated up and coming rappers tears some classic beats to pieces whilst teaching listeners a thing or two - namely on Hunger, Heart, Swag, Originality & Lyricism. This is incredible. And if you haven’t already, GO AND DOWNLOAD SEASON 2 (his latest mixtape).

I can’t even lie, Tinie kills this verse over ‘The Motto’.

Complex Magazines Best 25 Albums of 2011

Here it is

I think this is a pretty good list. More specifically the albums included than their order. Common, Kendrick Lamar & Drake would probably all make my list, in fact ‘Section.80’ is my album of 2011.

Common - Celebrate (Video)

Common is back! After the experimental ‘Universal Mind Control’, ‘The Dreamer, The Believer’ has him link up exclusively with No I.D. and cook up a classic. Such great hip hop tracks on there.

‘Celebrate’ though is one of my favourites. It’s such an uplifting party song that will fit occasions for years to come. A good video with a few different takes on a celebration and cameos from Tyga & Ludacris. (Video courtesy of Vibe).
